Autobiography:
I find sources for my works in folk wood carving – canonical, social and common. Wood carving includes all the areas of people's culture; it is not only material, but spiritual, too. It has multi-value images and it is simple in terms of technology. There is an axe, a saw, a knife and a soul of a tree living in it after it was cut down. My favorite examples are Parasceva Pyatnitsa and Madonna. That is why I represent all women as Parasceva, she personifies female god's character of earth, water and love.

In art I represent myself as a follower of Russian masters who could make «heavenly fair» simple toys.
