Wooden Sculpture exhibition was opened on May, 10. There are works by sculptors from St Petersburg, Vologda and Saratov.
Since the Gallery was established you can see wooden sculptures at every exhibition. The Gallery exhibits works by the most famous sculptors from St Petersburg and it represents wood in different manners: unlike "Naked women" by Oleg Zhogin and Alexander Molev, wood in installations by Alexander Pozin and Marina Spivak, colored sculptures by Gelya Pisareva and Vladimir Zhukov, bright social types by Mikhail Edomsky and Idar Ishemgulov...
The main idea of the exhibition is to demonstrate once again that there can’t be clichés if a master works with wood, a “traditional material”.
